Meet Your Coach & Mentor

ABOUT KAT CHINI

I help adults with ADHD understand how their mind works so they can build work, relationships and lives that truly fit them. I'm a clinical ADHD specialist and ICM Master Coach with 17 years of experience across NHS and healthcare settings. Over nearly two decades, I've conducted hundreds of ADHD assessments, supported thousands of families, reduced NHS service waiting times, and trained clinicians in evidence-based ADHD practice, but this work isn't just professional for me. It's deeply personal.

MORE THAN COACHING: A SPACE TO MEET YOURSELF

I work with people who are thoughtful, capable, and often deeply sensitive - people who think a lot, feel a lot, and carry responsibility, yet sense they've become disconnected from themselves along the way. Many of the people I support appear steady and capable on the outside. Internally, their experience can be very different - a busy or restless mind, emotional intensity, a sensitive nervous system, and a sense of needing to hold everything together. Not for lack of trying. Not for lack of intelligence. But because the standard approaches keep asking them to override themselves rather than understand themselves.

I know this experience personally - not as a concept, but as a life lived.

For years I carried the weight of not quite fitting: people-pleasing, overriding my own needs, pouring myself into systems and expectations that were never built for how I actually work. High-achieving on the outside, quietly exhausted on the inside. Driven by pressure rather than purpose. Disconnected from my own wants, preferences, and sense of direction.

What changed things for me was not trying harder. It was learning to turn inward - with honesty, with compassion, and without the constant pressure to be different from who I already was. Slowly, I began to understand how I think, what I need, and how to build a life that genuinely fits me.

This is what I bring to my coaching: clinical depth combined with lived understanding. Evidence-based practice alongside genuine empathy for what it means to navigate a mind that works differently, and what becomes possible when you stop fighting it.

MY APPROACH

My work is about helping you return to clarity, steadiness, and self-trust, so you can lead your life with intention rather than pressure - in your work, your relationships, and your everyday life. This space was not created for constant striving or self-fixing. It exists for people who want a calmer, clearer mind and a way of living that feels sustainable and true to who they are.

The process moves through four interconnected layers: clarity, stabilisation, awareness, and aligned action. We work with your nervous system, not against it. We bring compassion before challenge, and we stay practical - because insight without real-world application is just expensive reflection.

This is collaborative work. I listen carefully, notice patterns quickly, and support you to engage in your own process - not to be fixed, but to come into clearer relationship with yourself. Where helpful, I integrate simple, ethical AI-supported tools to reduce mental load, support clarity, and help you follow through between sessions. Tools are always optional, tailored, and used in service of your nervous system - not productivity for its own sake.

WHAT INFORMS THIS WORK

My 17 years of experience begins in physical health - working directly with how the body receives and responds to its environment. To stress, to sensory experience, to the world pressing in from the outside. That work took me on a journey inward: from the body into the brain, from the brain into the mind, and from the mind into something deeper - the intelligence that lives in sensation and felt experience, beneath conscious thought. It introduced me to somatic work: using the body not as a problem to manage, but as a tool for understanding and transformation.

From there, 11 years in mental health and neurodevelopment - including ADHD assessment across the lifespan and direct support for individuals, parents, and families navigating ADHD alongside co-occurring conditions - deepened my understanding of how ADHD actually presents in a whole human life. Not in textbooks. In real careers, real relationships, and real moments of self-doubt.

I moved into coaching because clinical work, as valuable as it is, has a ceiling. It can identify, assess, and stabilise - but it was not built to help someone truly know themselves, build on their strengths, and move forward from a place of possibility rather than deficit. Coaching is where that work continues - beyond the label, beyond the diagnosis, and beyond the story that something is fundamentally wrong with you.
